About MemBrain

MemBrain was formed in order to gather a group of like-minded software enthusiasts in the Memphis area on a regular basis.  Our goals are to learn about new software technologies and to use what we learn to collaboratively build cool stuff.

With this in mind, we have organized around the following guiding principles:

• We value collaboration over lectures.  We're going to do stuff, not just talk about stuff.  And we're going to do the stuff we do together.
• Vendor pitches are forbidden.
• Some, though not all, of the work we produce will be published on the web and made available as open source software.
• We will bring notoriety to Memphis, making our community a hub for software innovation.
• We will have fun doing it.
