Twitter on Rails, session 1

After some lively discussion, we decided to dedicate the first track
to a super-fun idea courtesy of Caitlin Woodward.  We're going to
build a Ruby on Rails application that ties into the Twitter API and
does all manner of cool tricks to show how twitter users are connected
to one another.  Caitlin calls it the Six Degrees of Twitter.  So, if
you'd like to gain some practical experience with Rails or you'd just
like to know how many hops it takes to get from the Dalai Lama to
Stephen Colbert, please join us.

Rails Overflow - Session 1

This will be the first meeting of a four-week track.

The goal for the track is to design a cpan/stackoverflow hybrid site for Ruby and Rails. The site will provide community-supported guidance with regard to the best gems, plugins, and techniques. The initial vision is to provide a voting up/down system like stackoverflow combined with an exhaustive list of options like cpan.

The plan for the meeting is to agree on what functionality will be provided during the track and then break into small groups to begin the process of producing the API and front-end code.
